APPROACH
Kimberley works in a professional but friendly manner to ensure a good working relationship with her clients. She is passionate about her role and strives to achieve the best outcome possible.
EXPERIENCE
Kimberley recently settled a case whereby medication was unnecessarily prescribed by a GP. The client suffered an impulse to gamble as a side effect of the medication and subsequently had a large financial loss.
Kimberley has also recently settled a case in relation to a pneumothorax following acupuncture which was caused by the wrong size needle being used.
Kimberley is part of the Thirlwall Inquiry team at Switalskis, representing six of the families named in the criminal indictment against former nurse Lucy Letby. This Inquiry will explore the circumstances surrounding the tragic events leading to the deaths of and harm to innocent babies within the healthcare system. The Inquiry will seek to provide answers for the victims’ families in an effort to determine accountability and what must be done to prevent such incidents from ever happening again.
“Kimberley was so professional and efficient and made the process easy. She kept me updated on everything and was a joy to work with.”
There is currently a great deal of controversy regarding the treatment for Restless Legs Syndrome (RLS). In our work, we have seen two areas of concern. One relates to the way in which medication is used to treat the condition. The other area of concern is that, even where medication is prescribed appropriately, patients are not made aware of its unusual and damaging side effects.
Restless legs syndrome (RLS) is a common neurological condition that causes an overwhelming urge to move the legs, often accompanied by involuntary jerking of the limbs. For many people, the symptoms can be unbearable, severely disrupting daily life and making it difficult to get a good night’s sleep.
In May 2021, our client visited her local hospital complaining of persistent right flank pain and a dull ache in her back. She was prescribed antibiotics for a suspected kidney infection (pyelonephritis) and referred for an ultrasound scan.
