Keighley child exploitation: further arrests made
By Sally Smith
Twelve further men have been arrested and charged in relation to non-recent offences of Child Sexual Exploitation in the Keighley area.
The arrests are part of a number of ongoing investigations by West Yorkshire Police of offences which took place in the area from the 1990s onwards. Other investigations have focussed on Huddersfield, Dewsbury and Bradford.
The 12 men, who are now aged between 42 and 64 years, were charged with offences relating to two complainants. The offences alleged include gross indecency, indecent assault of a girl under 16, assault of a girl under 14, and also, in total, 16 counts of rape.
The men appeared before Bradford Magistrates Court on Friday 20 May when the case was committed to the Crown Court where the men will be tried in due course.
