Maddy works in the Court of Protection health and welfare team. She assists with matters under the Mental Capacity Act 2005 particularly:

• Section 21A applications
• Section 15/16 best applications

Maddy is a Switalskis' Equality, Diversity and Inclusion (EDI) committee member.

APPROACH

Maddy is grateful that she is able to help vulnerable clients who often need someone to give them a voice and listen to their needs. She enjoys having a genuine relationship with clients and meeting them face to face in order to build trust and confidence in the work she is doing. Maddy ensures clients are heard and that she is able to understand the unique needs and wishes and feelings of each client.

EXPERIENCE

Maddy graduated from the University of Law in 2022 and had previously volunteered for Support Through Court to assist litigants in person with the court process.
