Emily has a friendly approach to clients, treating them with respect and care.  Due to the nature of Court of Protection her clients tend to be vulnerable and struggle to understand complex issues often dealt with by the court.  Emily has a talent for condensing large subjects into easily understood concepts to empower vulnerable adults to be as involved in their proceedings as possible. 

Emily is hard working and dedicated to investigating all possible outcomes for individuals touched by the Court of Protection.

EXPERIENCE

Within the Court of Protection Emily has represented a wide range of individuals in various situations. 

• She has experience working with non-verbal clients, ascertaining wishes and feelings through the use of physical objects to enable them to engage in questions and ascertain preferences
• She has worked with individuals with communication difficulties who require the use of Makaton
• Emily has worked on cases in the High Court and Inherent Jurisdiction supporting clients through complex matters both representing P and family members
